I’m a Style Failure

Blogged under sarah-ness on Wednesday 25 February 2009 at 8:30 am

I’ve never been the girl who pours over fashion magazines. I’m not exactly stylish, unless you consider wearing strictly pink and black clothing a style. Sure I like to look cute, but the work involved with looking my personal best stresses me out.

I’m also horrible with details. Proof?

I got home yesterday and noticed my socks were mismatched:

And that my shirt was missing two rhinestones:

It’s moments like this when I miss having roommates. Another woman would mock me until I changed, plus having access to clothing someone else picked out helps with the style factor. I imagine that’s what having a personal shopper feels like.

Or a gay husband.

I’m open to either at this point.

Every time you share me I won't punch a kitten!

No!!!! Your skull shirt is ruined? I will make you another ASAP. And deliver it in 2 months.

P.S….If you have no style, then why do you always look so damn cute? Shut it, whoreface.

Ha Ha! You always look fabulous but I must admit…that’s pretty bad. Let me know when and we will go gay husband shopping together. If we don’t have any luck finding then, there is always Forever 21!

I kept looking at your shirt. I looked and looked and looked. I knew I was only seeing two of something, but I could not figure out what was missing.

RLO would not have let you go out with mismatched socks.

Does it mean anything that I dated, previously and presently, women that frequently wear mismatched socks?

To me it just looked like the heart eye was winking…hopefully at me. And your boobs look bigger?!

In junior high I wore mismatched socks on purpose. As my old roommate liked to say, “Socks aren’t married in the temple!”

But I think most people would benefit from their own personal Clint and Stacy telling them What Not to Wear.

That’s just bat shit crazy!!! I learned that phrase from Kel and I’ve been dying to use it.

I think you’re on to something with the missing rhinestones… it is the new Winking Pirate look!!! And you started it!!!

Mismatched socks are fine as long as they aren’t vastly different in length and/or thickness. That’s uncomfortable. Kinesthetic symmetry is important.

I’m not exactly sure how you didn’t notice those mismatched socks. They aren’t close to the same at all! Funny!

Now, that is totally nothing a bedazzler can’t fix!

I think you deliberately picked off those rhinestones so you could post a picture of your rack. Which is ok, I totally understand.

And hey, isn’t RLO your gay husband? Where the hell was he when you got dressed???

Your style may be jacked, but your hair? KILLER.

I think what you really need to do is teach Daisy to talk. And see in color.
