Purple is the New Black

Blogged under Daisy the Pug,Dating sucks balls. Sometimes literally. on Monday 15 December 2008 at 9:00 am

Last night I was sorta sad, for obvious reasons.

I tried to find something to cheer me up, but since I’m off sugar I couldn’t cope with my usual vice of chocolate peanut butter ice cream. I’d also normally drink a bottle of wine, but I had to work today and Mondays are bad enough without a giant hangover.  Instead I tortured my pug.  WHAT? Isn’t that how all dog owners cope with sadness?

purple Purple is the New Black

You could call the ASPCA, but I imagine they will just tell you that painting a dog’s nails purple isn’t torture… IT’S LOVE!

Every time you share me I won't punch a kitten!

Oh it’s beautiful! I’m all for torturing the dog. After all, I tied tree limbs to my dog’s heads all in the name of a Christmas card!!! :) Did you get it?

I think the purple really brings her beautiful coat color! heehee

That is too much. And I occasionally make my dog wear hats…

I am sorry you’re sad. Boys suck. But those nails are great, though I am a little surprised and disappointed they’re not pink.

Now she needs some pretty fake eyelashes and a wig. Maybe a little lipstick.

I can tell Daisy loves it.

My mom used to paint our Great Dane’s nails. I was about seven or eight. I thought it was so neat – even if he was a boy dog.

My pug’s nails would never look so pretty, I am pretty sure I would have nail polish everywhere when I got one painted and he ran off to do something else…he would never let the nails dry…little bastard.

for the record: boys suck. yes, it NEVER works out when you go back (I seem to try at least once with everyone I have ever dated, sometimes more than once), we do it anyway…b/c we love to torture our hearts maybe.

That’s awesome! If I didn’t think it would take about a gallon of nail polish (most of which would end up on my carpet) to paint my St. Bernard’s nails, I’d be all over it!

    I’m sorry you are sad.
Listen to some Ray LaMontagne if you really want to punish yourself. He’s awesome, but kind of a downer sometimes.

That pic of your pug is so precious, I want to kiss her little purple nails and sing Prince songs to her.

You failed to mention if the nail polish you used on your pug contains formaldehyde, toluene or dibutyl phthalate (known carcinogens)

If the polish you used does contain these toxic ingredients, I’d suggest you remove it and replace it with non-toxic polish.
