How many minutes until Friday?

Blogged under In Utah This Week,Work is where the nerds are. on Tuesday 11 March 2008 at 1:35 pm

It’s Tuesday and my body is still sore as hell. Sports are hard.

I made The Kid go to lunch with me today. He hated it 43% of the time. Hate is good for you, like protein.

Wondering if the bruises all over my legs will fade so I can wear a skirt to the symphony with The Yuppie. If not he has an excellent back up plan: I will be Kristen and he will be Client #9. His profession may be the epitome of boring, but he is not.

My iPhone is no longer the bane of my existence. It may lock up occasionally but if that’s the price I must pay to have Hello Kitty on it, so be it.

I’ve been with my new company for three months and I only remember the names of ten people. Much like sports, names are hard.

I have a new column debuting next week with In Utah This Week and have yet to come up with a proper name. This stresses me out. I told you, names are hard!

Every time you share me I won't punch a kitten!

I also have a hard time with names, and embarrassingly, that extends even to people I’ve known for quite awhile and really should be able to call by name. Once, at my old roommate’s wedding, my boyfriend and I ran into a friend of the bride’s who used to come over to our apartment all the time, and I should have been able to recall her name. Especially since I had just been to a bridal shower at her house. So it was awkward when I introduced my boyfriend to her, but didn’t introduce her to my boyfriend. I wracked my brain for weeks after that trying to come up with the girl’s name. It finally came to me, but I just wanted to shoot myself for how forgetful I was.

    Names and I SUCK.

Naming my three was difficult. (My first husband would only consider the name “Phineus” until 8 months. There are reasons we are divorced.)

I also suck at remembering names, which causes scores of embarrassment.

You should come to the symphony on Saturday too and hang out at the Vivace after-party!
