where milli amp fuses go to die…

img085.0 where milli amp fuses go to die...as much as i hate that idea of men are from mars women are from venus bullshit, i’m starting to believe in it. i took a geek field trip with the boys today to raelco, an electronics graveyard store. it’s a creepy place and i am, without a doubt, the first female to have ever walked through the door. the way they looked at me was frightening, not undressing me with their eyes frightening, but “what is this person that looks and smells so much better” frightening. odd, because you would think at least one of them had seen a woman on episodes of star trek before.
0926061201.1 where milli amp fuses go to die...this place proves to me, yet again, that men and women are very, very different–women so clearly being the superior being.

Every time you share me I won't punch a kitten!

Uh Sarah, I’m pretty sure they were thinking about me when the said “what is this person that looks and smells so much better?”

i’ve wandered into raelco once, trying to find a capacitor and some LEDs. as geeky as i am, i felt out of place there … that store was beyond levels i could comprehend.

now codale electric supply, on the other hand….

Man bashing again are we? I’ll refrain from retaliating.

p.s. While in Salt Lake I saw your actual column for the first time. I picked up an issue of “in” and gleefully turned to your ramblings. Then I told my friend “hey look…I know this woman.” Even though that’s only barely true. Nice work.

pmk: thank god you cut your hair last week, or that might have been true.

    anon: i know things.

cornflake girl: it was pretty gross, actually.

ak: that’s being kind, i don’t think they’ve EVER done inventory.

ryan: i’ll give you a lil read.

    dave: it’s at least interesting.

lincoln: all for good reason, i promise. that’s great you saw a hard copy of the rag, very cool. how was the trip anyway?

For the record… I think raelco is great. Though, they didn’t have the 40 pin zif socket I needed a couple of weeks ago… maybe I should see if they have any 8051’s. Embedded hardware here I come.
