all elvis, all day–friday five.

Blogged under Uncategorized on Friday 7 April 2006 at 8:51 am

it’s an elvis day. it could be the fact i am wearing my new purple suede shoes. they’re fantastic, and i love them so. i will be listening to all elvis all day long, despite protest from the gg-top.

so, in tribute to the king, i bring you MY five favorite elvis songs:
1. suspicious minds
2. devil in disguise
3. hard headed woman
4. are you lonesome tonight
5. viva las vegas

and just so you know, i heart the fat elvis, not the pretty army elvis. it’s the transvestite in me, karate-chop me baby!

    Ever!

    Ever!

    Duh?

    Ever!

And I disagree about Fat Elvis vs. Thin Elvis. Elvis had the clothes down pat all through his fat and thin carreer.

Watch Jail House Rock and tell me different.

And furthermore…Suspicious Minds was recorded when Elvis was inbetween being fat and thin. We’ll call him Handi-capable Elvis to make sure it is not confused with either Thin or Fat Elvi (That’s Elvis without the final S for all those out there who don’t understand ancient Greek grammar.)

i haven’t seen jhr in years, i’ll netflix it, and get back to you. young/thin elvis was something, but i still like the fat slob elvis. i respect both stages of his life, i just happen to prefer the latter.
